Peritoneal and omental rule 2:Omental anatomy

-Omentums are the folds of peritoneum related to stomach.
-Peritoneum attached to greater curvature of the stomach is known as greater omentum while that attached to lesser curvature is known as lesser omentum.
-Mesentry are peritoneal folds connecting bowel to posterior abdominal wall.
-Peritoneal cavity is divided into greater and lesser sacs which are connected through foramen of Winslow just anterior to IVC and posterior to porta hepatis.
