D.D.between pancreatic pseudocyst and abscess

Both appear as a cystic lesion containing fluid.
Both can show thickened enhanced wall.
The only difference is the presence of air in the abscess.
So if you find a cystic lesion in the pancreas without septation(to exclude mucinous cystadenoma) and contain only fluid without air, this lesion could be pseudo cyst or an abscess(less common).
But if you find this cystic lesion containing air, you have one differential diagnosis which is the abscess.
